Sometimes you do things for other people and there is an absence of acknowledgment. You may get upset or hurt by that!

You could say that certain things do not occur for people at times. In an opening for life, where people are consumed by self-importance or are caught in the language of “I,” there is no generosity of spirit, and acknowledgment does not occur for them.

Sometimes we don’t understand the absence of something and we tend to make it mean something about the other person or ourselves. You now realize that the absence of acknowledgment is not intentional, and it does not mean anything about you or the other person. It may just not have occurred to them. It is a profound wisdom to realize: “Forgive them, because they don’t know what they are doing.”

You could say that when you are an opening for “I,” you only see what serves you. When you are an opening for being, you naturally see what is wholesome and contributing to life.

What occurs for you is dependent on the opening you are for life.
